What is the Freedom Score?

One number, updated daily, for how much room your money gives you. It moves with your habits, not your salary.

The Freedom Score is Lertha's single measure of how much room your money gives you: whether a bad week would break you, whether your savings survive the month, whether the pattern is improving.

It runs from 0 to 1000 and updates as new transactions arrive. Higher means more room: more cushion against a bad week, less month left at the end of the money.

It is built from your own behaviour rather than your income, so it is not a judgement on how much you earn. Two people on the same salary can sit far apart, and the point of the number is that it moves when your habits move.

It is not a credit score

The Freedom Score is Lertha's own measure, and it looks like a credit score without being one. It is not shared with banks or credit bureaux, no lender sees it, and it has no effect on any loan, card or account you hold anywhere else. Nobody can charge you to raise it, and anyone who offers to is not us.
